This can be done through many ways but knowing the importance of where these techniques originated from is very crucial to such professions. There are various ways to observe crime through art such as analyzing and using critical thinking skills to determine what is happening or has happened in certain situations.

Curry College Forensics Lab. Understanding ones culture can very important because it narrows down on what type of activities that person might take part in and where they would most likely be associated in. An example of this is graffiti usually reflecting some sort of gang activity. Symbolism can also help someone interpret culture and can be used to decode certain messages or symbols that relate to potential crime. Last but not least our observation skills have greatly increased overtime due to looking at art and all of the elements it has to offer such lines, form, and tone.

Gang Related Fence Graffiti .

Critical thinking skills is another very useful asset that investigators utilize in their work because it can help them see or understand certain that they didn’t realize before. It also ties into the previous discussion of observation skills but also touches on communications skills. Shown in a video by “TED-Ed”, communications skills can very crucial during an ongoing investigation since it can be used to help others picture either potential suspects faces or even back stories involving criminal situations. As an investigator it is a part of their duty to be able to translate what they think through how they see and give others a perception that they might not understand. For example if a detective is questioning a victim or bystander about the suspect, the investigator may usually draw out what they could have looked like and show it to their colleagues so that they can be on the look out.

YouTube, YouTube, www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubEadhXWwV4.
